Travel Extras: complete your trip

After booking a flight, travellers get a personal "complete your trip" page with extras for their journey. It is designed for mobile first, travellers can come back to it any time before the trip, and the basket shows exactly what they are adding.

  • Airport rides to and from the hotel, even before a hotel is chosen
  • Activities and tours at the destination
  • Hotels and car hire, with "See all" to browse every option
  • eSIM data plans for the destination country
  • Visa and entry requirements, linking only to official government websites

Agents can open the page for any flight booking reference (PNR), including flights booked outside altovo. Partners can sell Travel Extras on their own website through a small embeddable widget in their own colours, with an admin area for orders, bundles, pricing rules and a sales dashboard showing views, conversions and attach rate.

Switched on per website or partner

eSIMs: a new product

  • eSIM data plans can be sold alongside flights, hotels and other products
  • Each traveller chooses a plan for their own phone
  • Plans priced at USD 2.50 or less can be offered free as a booking perk
  • The full eSIM details appear in the cart and on the booking
  • A new eSIM menu for each site to connect the account, test it and go live, with a setup checklist

Shareable search links and embeds

  • One-click search links that open the website with the search already filled in, for hotels, flights, flight and hotel, transfers, car hire, trains, buses, tours, packages, stopovers and cruises
  • Links can pre-apply filters, such as a preferred airline, direct flights only, a car hire company or a car type
  • A Link and Embed builder in admin creates links and search widgets without technical knowledge, including a per-destination CSV for marketing teams
  • Search forms on partner websites can be pre-filled and locked to a destination

Cruises, tours and age rules

  • Cruises: book several cabins in one booking, choosing cabins and guests on the search form
  • Tours: travellers choose their pick-up point during booking and see the full price before paying; checkout fills in tour questions it already knows, such as the pick-up hotel and traveller name
  • Each site can set its own infant and child age limits per product, and the search forms follow them

Hotel Perks

Sites can offer exclusive hotel perks, such as a free upgrade or a welcome drink, that travellers unlock by verifying their email. Perks show as a banner on the search results and the hotel page.

Switched on per site

White-label websites

  • Subscription billing via Stripe for white-label website owners
  • White-label sites can use their own payment account, so payments go directly to the site owner
  • Each online shop gets its own web address
  • Websites built on altovo can be embedded inside a partner's own website
Own payment account is switched on per site

Flights and hotels

  • Bookings show the airline's own booking reference next to the booking-system reference
  • Flight details show departure and arrival times, not only dates, on bookings, e-tickets and vouchers
  • Seat and baggage add-ons stay reliable when a traveller goes back and changes their selection
  • Large hotel room lists load and scroll smoothly
  • Hotel name search works with accented characters
  • Hotel vouchers list every guest, and broken room photos are hidden
  • Hotel prices use a consistent nationality, and prices stay correct when switching currency

Bookings, payments and admin

  • A booking activity log records who changed what, when, how and from where
  • Electronic invoicing: sites can collect the buyer's invoice details at checkout and make them mandatory where needed
  • Prices are checked again just before payment, so travellers are never charged a price that has changed
  • Credit agencies pay with their credit line by default at checkout
  • Cancellation fees no longer include the agent's own markup
  • Clearer errors and the correct fee on failed refunds, and long-pending cancellations escalate to operations automatically
  • Cleaner bank-transfer allocation, booking lists without duplicates, and search, filters and sorting for the supplier list

Partner API, TravelDesk and reliability

  • Developer documentation on the new developer portal, with a working "Try it"
  • Correct currency in Partner API hotel search and booking, a reference number on every error, and safer key rotation
  • TravelDesk accounts can be paired with altovo, and booking and cancellation updates to TravelDesk are retried automatically if delivery fails
  • Analytics reworked across all booking flows, so search, cart and purchase reporting is accurate
  • Website errors are reported to our monitoring, so we often fix problems before customers notice
