How we built unified travel inventory
Unified inventory is a search that does not care which pipe a fare came from. The booker sees one offer. Behind it sit Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport, Navitaire, NDC, low-cost connects and hotel aggregators. Median processing time on that merge is 120ms. The work is not the logo slide. The work is fare logic, occupancy, and not double-counting the same hotel.
What is unified travel inventory?
It is a single availability call that fans out, normalises, and returns a bookable set. If two suppliers return the same rate, we keep one. If NDC returns a branded bundle the GDS cannot represent, we keep the bundle. That is the entire product.
What we will not do
We will not pretend a GDS terminal and a consumer website are the same object. We will not hide a per-booking content fee in the connectivity layer. We will not list partners we do not have.
What is unified inventory?
A single search that returns air, hotel and extras from GDS, NDC, low-cost connects and hotel aggregators, with duplicate offers collapsed and one price shown to the booker.
Do you replace the GDS?
No. We sit in front of it, and in front of the pipes it does not cover. Agencies that still need a green screen can keep one.
