altovo will present TravelDesk, AfterBook and TradeDesk at World Aviation Festival in Lisbon from 13 to 15 October 2026. The products share one commercial purpose, to help airlines and travel businesses build direct customer and agency relationships, with control over how the products are sold and serviced.

"The first flight sale should be the start of a longer customer relationship. A traveller may need a hotel, an extra bag or a date change. A corporate customer needs a reliable way to book the next business trip. We're applying AI to airlines' existing sales and service processes, so they can increase customer engagement and sell more."

Ron Ramanan, CEO, altovo

altovo's approach is to make those relationships easier to serve. TravelDesk helps airlines serve corporate accounts through branded booking portals with negotiated fares, travel policies, approvals and budget controls built in. TradeDesk gives agencies a direct booking channel on the airline's commercial terms. AfterBook lets travellers book, change trips and buy extras through natural language chat, voice or embedded in the airline's existing communication channels.

According to Ron Ramanan, much of today's AI remains more pretentious than genuinely valuable to businesses. Rather than pursuing shiny AI toys with limited customer adoption, airlines should leverage agentic AI for practical outcomes: automating repetitive tasks, helping distribution partners and agents build their own AI-native experiences, and preventing excessive searches or inventory waste caused by malicious agentic use.

TradeDesk for authorised AI assistants

altovo is also extending TradeDesk to authorised AI assistants, including booking bots built by travel agencies. Using Model Context Protocol, or MCP, assistants can access live airline availability and fares and create a booking hold. This gives airlines a way to participate in AI booking channels while controlling access to their inventory. Travellers complete payment through the airline's payment flow.

At World Aviation Festival, altovo will discuss how airlines can use these products to develop corporate and agency sales and give customers a reason to keep booking with them.
