Where it works

One portal for Southeast Asia, South Asia, East Asia and Australasia.

The same platform runs in every market. Each client portal is set to its own currency and language, with 20+ languages available on the platform, so a group with offices in several countries runs one travel programme, not five.

Southeast Asia
Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. Covered directly from the Kuala Lumpur office.
South Asia
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Local currency and payment gateways on the same portal.
East Asia
China, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea. Travelsky-hosted content for China and APAC alongside the global systems.
Australia and New Zealand
Served on the same global content, from the Kuala Lumpur office in a nearby time zone.
Policy and approvals

Duty travel and business travel policy in one engine.

Ministries, state-owned enterprises, universities and NGOs across Asia-Pacific call official staff travel duty travel. It comes with entitlements by grade, pre-approval before any booking, a list of permitted carriers and an audit trail for every trip. A commercial company calls the same thing travel policy.

TravelDesk runs both on one policy engine. Entitlements become rules by employee grade. Pre-approval becomes a mandatory approval step. Permitted carriers become preferred content. Travel arrangers book on behalf of others, deputies cover absent approvers, and trips inside policy can be auto-approved. Every booking carries its approver, its reason and its cost centre.

What the policy engine controls

  • Entitlements Cabin class and hotel caps per employee grade
  • Pre-approval Mandatory approval before ticketing, multi-step by department
  • Permitted carriers Preferred and excluded airlines and hotels in policy
  • Arrangers and deputies Book for others, cover approvers who are away
  • Auto-approval In-policy trips confirmed without a manual step
  • Audit and spend Full history per trip, spend by department and cost centre
Content

Flights and hotels across the region.

TravelDesk runs on the same inventory as the rest of the altovo platform. A mid-sized company in Asia-Pacific gets the same content a large TMC would, including the low-cost carriers that dominate regional routes.

650+

Airlines

650+ airlines bookable, including NDC (as of Oct 2026), via Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport and direct NDC. Airline hosts include Navitaire for low-cost carriers and Travelsky for China and APAC. LCC and NDC content also via TravelFusion.

1M+

Hotels

Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Accor, Hyatt and Wyndham alongside aggregators Agoda, Expedia, Hotelbeds and WebBeds, with nightly rate caps per city.

200

Cities with car rental

Airport transfers and car rental in 200 cities, added to the same itinerary as the flight and hotel.

1

Search

Full-service and low-cost fares side by side in one result, with policy applied before the employee picks.

Payment and billing

Local payment, one invoice.

Price and settle in your company's currency. Employees and arrangers pay the way they already do in their market, and finance gets one invoice.

50+ currencies, 80+ payment gateways

Gateways include GrabPay, FPX, Alipay, WeChat Pay, Razorpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay, alongside corporate cards. Automated FX at your agreed rate, so a trip priced in one currency settles cleanly in another.

One invoice per billing profile

Trips settle to a company billing profile and arrive as a single invoice, rather than a drawer of employee receipts. Export to CSV or feed your BI tool, so travel sits in the same reports as every other cost.

Vendor review

Security, data and compliance.

The certifications your procurement and IT teams ask for are already in place.

Certified

SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, PCI-DSS Level 1 and GDPR compliant.

Hosted on AWS, multi-region

Data residency options are discussed per jurisdiction during scoping, so you know where your travellers' data sits before you sign.

Single sign-on

SSO with your corporate identity provider, restricted to your company's email domain. Leavers lose access when their company account is closed.

How buying works

Buying TravelDesk in Asia-Pacific.

Direct licence from altovo, or through your TMC. Either way, the Kuala Lumpur office is in your time zone for scoping and go-live.

01

Walkthrough and scope

A 30-minute session on the demo portal, configured for your routes, grades and approval chain. We agree content, currency, billing and data residency.

02

Pricing, quoted for your company

A published platform fee plus a flat per-trip fee. No percentage of your travel spend, so your cost does not rise when fares do. Pricing is quoted by sales. If you buy through a TMC, they licence the platform and set your pricing.

03

Connect identity, set policy, go live

Connect your identity provider, load your policy and approvers, invite travellers by domain. There is no custom build, so a company can be live in weeks.
